I recently attended the 2026 American Society of Appraisers (ASA) International Conference in Fort Worth, Texas, where valuation professionals gathered to discuss developments and challenges shaping the appraisal profession.

In 2025, I was honored to be elected as a Member-at-Large to ASA's national Real Property Discipline Committee, serving alongside fellow professionals who are helping guide the future of the real property appraisal discipline.

As part of this leadership involvement, I am particularly pleased to contribute to efforts focused on advancing professional education and ensuring that ASA remains proactive in addressing the changing needs of commercial real estate appraisers.

The valuation profession continues to evolve through changing market dynamics, increasingly complex assignments, technological advancements, and new approaches to data analysis. Maintaining relevant educational programs and strong professional standards is essential to meeting these challenges.
